Sunrays is well equipped to perform a range of latest surgeries. Facilities exist for performing both laparoscopic surgery and open surgery.

Laparoscopic Surgeries

  • The laparoscopic appendectomy is a surgery performed to remove an infected appendix when it causes excruciating pain and the danger of the infection spreading
  • Gallstone removal(Cholecystectomy) Removal of gallstones which causes extreme pain and suffering is done through laparoscopic surgery which is also called lap cholecystectomy.
  • In case of gallbladder polyps, laparoscopic cholecystectomy is done in indicated cases.
  • Hernia repair

Inguinal Hernia is a bulge in the groin area that can become more prominent when coughing, straining, or standing up, due to a weakness in the groin muscles. Laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery rather than the traditional open surgeries entails lesser risks of pain and faster recovery. In cases of Incisional hernia or Umbilical hernia laparoscopic repair is done. For women with weak muscle tone open repair with abdominoplasty is done.

Open Surgeries

  • Fistulas and Fissures: Whereas an anal fissure is a relatively simple tear, an anal fistula is a channel that appears as a hole in the skin beside the anus, but then leads back into the bowel.
  • Hernia: During surgery to repair the hernia, the bulging tissue is pushed back in. Your abdominal wall is strengthened and supported with sutures (stitches), and sometimes mesh. This repair can be done with open or laparoscopic surgery.
