General Surgery
Laparoscopic and open surgery for appendix, gallbladder, hernia, fistula and more.

Sunrays is well equipped to perform a range of the latest surgeries, with facilities for both laparoscopic and open surgery.
Laparoscopic surgeries
- Appendectomy — removal of an infected appendix when it causes severe pain and risks the infection spreading.
- Gallstone removal (cholecystectomy) — laparoscopic removal of painful gallstones; also done for gallbladder polyps in indicated cases.
- Hernia repair — laparoscopic inguinal hernia surgery means less pain and faster recovery than open surgery. Incisional and umbilical hernias are also repaired laparoscopically; for women with weak muscle tone, open repair with abdominoplasty is done.
Open surgeries
- Fistulas and fissures — an anal fissure is a simple tear, while an anal fistula is a channel between the skin beside the anus and the bowel.
- Hernia — the bulging tissue is pushed back and the abdominal wall is strengthened with sutures and sometimes mesh.
